2007 ASAP-PSCF-CCP Tournament

Players attending ASAP schools may play for free in a non rated section. They are not required to have a United States Chess Federation membership to be eligible for this section.  Medallions will be awarded to the winners.

Wynett Building, Community College of Phil., Philadelphia, PA 19130.

17th & Spring Garden Sts, Philadelphia      

Proceed south on 17th Street from Spring Garden.  The Wynett Building is the second building from the corner on the right hand side.  It has a curved front.  After entering the building, pass the guard stand and proceed up the steps to the second floor.   At the end of the hallway, turn right.  Go through the double doors. The playing hall is on the left.

 4 Sections:

Open Quads,

3RR (Players will compete in groups of four based on ability.)

G/60.( Each player has 60 minutes to complete the game.)

EF: (Entry Fee)             $20.

Prizes: $$ 50 to first in each quad.

Scholastic Open:

3SS, 3 round Swiss System  (Players play three games against opponents with the same score)

G/60.( Each player has 60 minutes to complete the game.)

EF: (Entry Fee) $10.

Prizes: Trophies to top three.

Scholastic U800:

4SS, 4 round Swiss System  (Players play four games against opponents with the same score)

G/30. ( Each player has 30 minutes to complete the game.)

EF: (Entry Fee)  $5.

Prizes:Trophies to top five.

Scholastic Non-rated:

(4 or 5)SS, (4 or 5) round Swiss System  (Players play four games against opponents with the same score)

The tournament will be 4 rounds unless there is time enough for a fifth round.

G/30. ( Each player has 30 minutes to complete the game.).

EF: (Entry Fee)  $5.      Not USCF-rated

Prizes: Medallions to winners.

 All: Depending upon entries, an additional round may be added or sections further divided.           

Pennsylvania State Chess Federation membership required United States Chess Federation membership required in the first three sections.

Registration: 8:30-9:30 am. First round at 10 am., OSA.
