National Junior High (K-9) Championship 2008
Apr. 4-6, Dallas, Texas
The Middle School Chess Championships are being held in Dallas, TX, April 4th through 6th. Two parents, Richard Wainstein and Jed Campbell, and I will accompany eight students from Masterman who will be competing in the tournament. We will fly from Philadelphia on Thursday, April 3, 2008 and return Monday, April 7, 2008. We will need drivers to take us to the airport and pick us up when we return. If you are not chaperoning and are available, please let me know. We should leave Masterman at 12:00 noon.

K-9 Championship;
K-9 Under 1250,
K-8 Championships:
K-8 Under 1000,
K-8 Under 750,
K-9 Unrated.
Entry fee: $40 if p/m by March 5, $60 if p/m by March 19, $75 after
March 19 or $80 at site.
Main Event rounds:
Friday 1 pm, 7pm;
Saturday 9 am, 2 pm, 7 pm;
Sunday 9 am, 2 pm.
Opening Ceremony: 12:30 pm Friday.
1⁄2 pt bye any round except seven if requested in advance (limit
one).
Awards: 7 pm (approximate) Sunday.
March rating supplement will be used.
