I am planning to take a group of Masterman players to compete. After reading the information below, please indicate your interest in having your child participate and your availability to chaperone. We will need a chaperone for every three or four students in the group.

It is important to know well in advance who and how many players and chaperones we will have. Players competing in a national championship become very motivated and sophisticated. The experience becomes an important asset in their chess development and sense of self confidence. The owner of the Chess Magnet School has offered free online instruction between now and the Elementary National Championship to any Masterman student competing in that event. This widely respected instructional program presents students with chess problems and puzzles. Their responses are evaluated to measure progress and determine the course of future lessons.

Enter the player’s I.D. #, name, grade, state, and school. The last three are on drop down menus. Masterman’s name appears under the code: PAJRMA.
Under event 1, click the box “Check here to enter.” Then click “K-6 Under 1000.”
Do not click anything under Event 2.
Note:
I will enter any player who brings a check for the entry fee by Friday, March 29th.
Total Cost:
The entry fee and rail tickets must be paid in advance. For each adult ticket we will get two children’s tickets at half price. As the ratio of children to adults will probably be three to one, some children’s tickets will be full fare. I will buy all of the tickets. We will then divide the cost by the total number going. Each person’s cost will be the same, regardless of age.
The hotel costs are shared by the players staying in the room. Chaperones do not pay a share of the room cost. The chaperone charges the room and is reimbursed by the players after the tournament.
